About Us

Initially founded in July of 2007, our simple mission was to provide fundamental volleyball skill development during a 3 month Spring Season (Mar – Jun). It quickly grew to a successful year round program offering club training, competitive play, and summer and fall camps to a growing group of players and coaches. While our mission continues to evolve, we still hold true to our fundamental approach to development and competition.
Michigan Volleyball Academy is a skilled junior volleyball club that participates in the leading junior volleyball organizations in the country: Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), Junior Volleyball Association (JVA), and USA Volleyball (USAV). MVA is committed to showcasing their athletes locally, regionally, and nationally at tournaments which are highly recruited and attended by some of the top volleyball programs in the country. We are committed to high quality training through the Tier Training philosophy. This training takes place under the direction of one of the top coaching staffs in the region. Our staff is made up of former and present college coaches, high school coaches, plus former and present college players.

Key Benefits to MVA

Individual player development remains our highest priority. MVA utilizes a “Master Coaching Philosophy” to develop players individually and as a team. Every player in our gym gets a practice plan developed by one of our Master Coaches that takes age, skill level and goals into account. Our Master Coaches all have multiple years of collegiate and club level coaching experience. This experience and the tenacity it takes to stay current in volleyball training are the backbone to why you should choose MVA. Multiple seasons which allow for all athletes to participate in their High School sport of choice but still improve in volleyball. Four levels of commitment and training (Developmental, Competitive, Elite and National) to meet each players skill level and financial needs. MVA rents the MVP Fieldhouse facility for the entire season. This allows your athletes to work with and be surrounded by many coaches at one location for all of your practices.
